Submission checklist

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

1. The users should register using the link "Register " to create user name (ID) and password (PW).

2. Registered users can log in with the username and password to the Journal;

3. Clicking "Make a submission" starts the process of submission;

4. To begin the submission, the user must fill in the required fields: Title of the article, Section (type of article), Submission checklist, and Privacy consent must be confirmed.

5. Submission process encounters five steps:

  • Step 1. Submission details: the Title, Keywords, Abstract, References should be filled in; 
    • Abstracts should not exceed 250 words and should be structured into the following subsections: Introduction, Aims, Materials and Methods/Patients and Methods, Results, and Conclusions. Keywords should reflect the content of the paper and must be no more than six
  • Step 2. Upload files: using the link “Add File” upload as a separate files Cover letter, Authorship contribution form, Article text, Tables, and Figures. The article text of manuscript should be uploaded in Microsoft Word.doc/.docx format including all images, figures and tables at their appropriate places in the text. 
  • Step 3. Contributors: add authors (given name and family, e-mail, country, ORCHID ID, competing interests’ declaration, bio statement, affiliation) and mark contributor’s role and publication lists. Set the Corresponding author by clicking “Primary contact”.
  • Step 4. For the Editors: in the appropriate fields fill in “Supporting Agencies” with project ID, provide “Data availability statement”. In the field “Comments for the Editor” the authors should suggest up to 3 potential reviewers external to the authors’ institution with their full names, work address, phone and e-mail address, and Acknowledgements (if any). 
  • Step 5. Review: Review the information entered in the metadata section and make changes (if any).

6. The Cover letter includes the manuscript title, type, the full name of the corresponding author. The cover letter should include a statement declaring the absence or presence of a conflict of interest and a statement that the manuscript has not already been published, accepted or under review for publication elsewhere. 7. The Authorship contribution form indicates the type of contribution for each author. А sample authorship contribution form can be found at https://press-muv.com/ssm/web/index.php/ssm/author-forms.

8. Once submission is complete, the system will generate a manuscript ID sent to author's contact email.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission or part of it has not been previously published, nor is it submitted to another Journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. A cover letter is submitted.
  3. An Authorship Contribution form is submitted
  4. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word or WordPerfect document file format.
  5. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  6. The text is 1.15-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  7. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines (https://press-muv.com/ssm/web/index.php/ssm/author-guidelines..).
  8. The Author/Authors agree with the Terms and Conditions of the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) License (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/legalcode.en).
  9. The Author/Authors are acquainted with the Ethical principles for publication in SSM.
  10. The corresponding author declares that he/she has the consent of all authors to publish this manuscript and that none of them will submit it for publication elsewhere.
  11. In cases when there is participation of individuals or laboratory animals are used in the scientific research, it has been approved by the relevant Ethics Committee/Agency and the respective Protocol/Decision No. and date are included in the submitted article.
